Oh my Missy what an adventure.......wait until I tell Bailey about it he will be so excited. I am not a fan of snakes either......we have black snakes one of the good types but still scary as they get so long in length........and copper heads are bad snakes we have them here too.  Poor Bambi.......that is sad. When Andy goes on his adventures he brings home bones and I don't have a clue what the animal is cause they are huge bones and have been around awhile as they are white with no meat on them......thankfully........people around here and I should not call them people as they are just plain idiots........they shoot the deer and cut the heads off and leave the body to rot......Bill has cleaned up 4 in the past 2 years........and I always think when I don't see my usual deer passing thru that it was one of them...... You tell Dad to be careful around the wood piles cause snakes like to hang out in wood piles and rock piles......you be careful when you sniff too.......our Lucy #1 was our copperhead watch dog and would always let us know when one was around the house when we lived in the mountains and one bit her on the side of the face and her faced swelled up and within a week she was fine.....but every dog reacts differently.....even though she got bit she still continues to guard the property....so you be very careful.......just remember to bark a lot to warn Mom and Dad....That last picture of you in the pile of warm towels sure looked comfy.........nothing better then warm towels.

What a day!  You are a brave little girl and that helps you to be SO smart.....cuz you're interested in new and different things.

Poor widdle Bambi.......what do you think ended her life? Where we live in California, there are coyotes and mountain lions around who bring down deer.

The Big Guy is a knife collector......sigh it's the "other woman" in our life.  He has a knife from Germany - the handle is a preserved baby deer's foot and part of the leg :-(  Kind of gruesome and yet interesting.

Wow Auntie Jeannie, I could sure learn a lot from Lucy! She sounds like a Great snake dog! Sorry she got bit though, very glad she got better. My sister before me, she was a Shepard and she got bit on the muzzle by a copperhead and she had to spend several days in the hospital. She got ok but they said since she was older they couldn't give her the anti venom meds, that's why they kept her.. I wouldn't wanna spend time away from mommy and daddy so I'll be Real careful. We haven't seen Any of our Bambi's in a few days, I sure hope this wasn't one of them, specially the babies..  

Wow Auntie Marlene a Bambi knife, bet that is cool! I'm not sure what got Bambi, daddy said maybe a fox but I think it was the mountain lion... I found some scat kinda close by and I don't think it was foxy's.. Besides daddy says if foxy got him it was probably a baby and I don't want it to be baby Bambi...  

Sure wish mommy would let me go in the woods bet I'd find more clues! But mommy said there's still ticks and we can't go in the woods yet.. Gotta get my super wood vision eyes focused better to find more clues!  ❤️Missy

Ack! Missy you do be careful. We used to haz us a good snake inna back yard. Mumma called him Blackie. But he seem to haf left. I think he didn't like smelling my pee smell which I try my bestest to perfume everything wif.

But then last week me and Mumma wuz doing our walk and camed across sumfing interesting squished inna road (this happens all da time, but usually is bugs and catapillows and frogs and similar tings). Mumma said dat particular squished bit wuz a baby copperhead. Daddy sez he sure hope dat baby's mumma ain't around.

Ooh Yogi a smushed copperhead I found somethin smushed in the road on my walk today too- look!! 

Daddy said he thinks it was a black snake and he's sad cuz he says it's a 'good' snake! We haven't seen our black snake in a long time but I don't think this was him! Hey have you ever seen so many bones? I guess snakes have bones any way he had lots of somethin didn't he?! You be careful Yogi my momma says where there's one snake there's more so she's Really been on snake watch now! ❤️Missy

I don't know much about snakes.......I think the only ones I've dealt with are garter snakes, rattlesnakes and king snakes.

But, but, but.......ewwwwww! Several years ago we took a trip to South Carolina and Georgia.  We were looking at an old smokehouse on a plantation and there was a humongous black snake coiled among the old brickwork high on the wall.  BIG!!!  Then!!!  On the same trip we were on the road, going somewhere touristy......there was a big turtle in the road and I insisted my husband stop so I could get it out of harm's way.  I walked it over to the grassy side of the road, bent down to place it and came practically nose to nose with another BIG black snake in the grass.

That snake looks like it has been dead awhile.......

Missy -- Dat look very much like da squished copperhead me an Mum saw. 'Cept ours had da marks on it Mumma said meant it wuz a copperhead. And it was more fresh and squishy. Mum said was icky but it smell very interesting to myownself.

Oh guys... you all have lots of snakes. We are so lucky here in the U.K. Not too many of those to worry about! ...

Oh Missy... you need to stay close to mommy and daddy and away from those ole snakes.i agree with your mommy about snakes, I don't like them either.you be careful, you're so precious!!

Ohw those deerlegs do look familiar Missy..my sister shepard used to bring them home when she was out on her walk. She was very proud of them bones..but mum and dad just moved in here and didn`t know about these things..now they do  cause through the years she brought a lot home..we also have snakes over here..my sister almost stepped on a..I think yous call them Viper?..that was scary enough for me..they have poison in them too you know..Good thing your daddy is around dear Missygirl..hes protecting you from those creapy snakes, I think your mum is cool Missy give  her a hug from me will you..
