Somehow the shots where you can see cars just seem "out of place".

Tara......I see they heard about you and put up "no climbing" signs :-(

Cato:

And after Tara had done all her rushing about and clambering and showing off, we all went into Warkworth town and had lunch. I had a prawn!!!  It was a bit funny, and I don't know if I liked it.  

Mum said you wanted to see houses and stuff.  So here they are.

and this is a war memory thing, with red stuff all round it.  Mum said that she thought the red begonias looked just as nice and poppies.  But there will be poppy wreath things there soon.

We went inside the churchyard, which was nice and sniffy.  And we sat down on benches while Mum and then Dad went into the church.  I wanted to go too, but we couldn't without asking.  sometimes they say yes, but they have to be there to ask.  Mr Vicar was probably off having his lunch.

And this was an oldoldold 18th century gravestone on stilts

and this is a very old grave.  I am not allowed to widdle on gravestones, so Mum wouldn't let us have a proper look.

This is the church front door

This is a very old knight with a big head sleeping in the church under a stained glass window.  Mum picced the window but it didn't come out good.

He has a lion under his feet.  it is the same size as me!  It means that he died at war.  If he had died at home he would have had a dog under his feet.   That means I am as big as a lion, doesn't it Aunties?

We were waiting for ages, but it was OK cos we went to lunch after.

Mum and us had a prawn.  and Dad had fishcakes and cider.  He said the cider was veryveryvery special, and Mum had to drive us home.

This is another house that Mum would like to live in.

and this is the old town bridge and gate.  There is a new road and a bridge beside them.

and then me and Mum found an amazing thing.  We were sniffing about the flowers in a little park by the gate (wait for the boring flower pics)

when we saw a Footpath sign.  Well, we know all about Footpaths, so we went and explored!  And it turned out to be a fantabulous Footpath.  The best ever!

It went all the way from the Town Gate up to the Castle.  And it ran behind all the houses!  Like a path between the gardens.  There were gardens on either side, and we could sniff and see the backs of everyone's houses, and wot they were growing.  And there was a HUGE dog in one garden.  We only saw its foot and nose, but it was so BIG it didn't even bother to bark at us!  It just huffed, and me and Tara ran away!  Mum laughed at us, but that Hound woz SCARY!

Anyway, we were excited by the sniffs, but Mum got excited by the path.  She says it is as old as the town, and older than the houses.  And it has probably been used for 1000 years for people to walk from the river to the castle and back again.  It might even be older than the town, Mum says.  Cos the gardens all fitted up to the path, rather than the path going along the garden edges.

It woz very sniffy.  Look.

Oooooo I do love that castle...Oh sorry Your Castle Tara   The gardens were beautiful....what a adventure in a lovely place.

Tara:  Ooooh!  Look at ME!!!  I am the climbiest paw in the world!  Look how HIGH I got!

Cato:  Oh, AuntiePipsMom, you even got that pine needle in her moustache!  Hahaha!

Mum:  Am hooting with laughter here, Crystal.  What masterpieces!  Thank you.  You know she is going to persuade herself that she actually climbed up all those places, don't you?

I had the best fun doing that as a surprise. Going to capture little man soon and do something for him too.......Can't have him feeling left out
