SATURDAY 3rd December: Town park - no flowers
Tara: My turn to blog! Cato has been hogging the blogging! Haha!
We went to Town Park today with Mum AND Dad today. It was fun. Though there weren't many stinky flowers for Mum. And the chicken place was shut. But it woz a fun walk. Look!
I was investigerating round the corner in that pic.
And this is all those big chestnut trees that Mum says are nice and cool and dark like a cathedral in the summer. Wotever. Did you know I went to a cathedral once. It woz very boring. Stone and dusty and weird sniffs.
This is me heading off to investigerate the bowling green. Only Mum didn't want me to, and she gave me a treat, and while I woz eating it, she shut the gate! Not fair! It looks nice and interesting in there. Doesn't it?
These are some people sitting on the wet grass having a picnic! I wanted to go and say hello, but Mum wouldn't let me. She says that I don't need any sandwiches, and not to bother people! Not fair!
This is Bertie, his Dad and his ball. I quite like Bertie. We were watching him. His Dad throws the ball with one of those throwy stick things. And Bertie RUNRUNRUNs after it. Then he lies down beside the ball. Then his Dad arrives, and tried to pick up the ball. And Bertie snatches the ball, and dances out of his Dad's reach, and starts barking.
Bertie came to say hello to us. He is sort of a Pomeranian. But not completely. And he was a Rescue when he was a puppy. I like him.
This is me jumping on the band stand.
This is me walking round the band stand. When it was hot, there were red roses everywhere here, and I couldn't trample all over the place cos they would have prickled me. But now they have all been chopped down or something, cos of the cold. or something. And I can jump and climb and everything. So it is better, isn't it?
These are the only flowery things Mum found today. Yay! Don't know what they are called though.
This is my duck hunt. I charged in, all fast and Ninja and clever. And they ran away and splooshed in the water, and it was GREAT!!
I would have caught them too, if Cato hadn't come and mucked it all up. He wanted a drink. Mum had already given us a drink, but no, he wanted another one and got in the way.
All these twiggy things are Mum's roses. Only they aren't stinky and green any more, they are just twiggy. And in the distance if the big rose garden. All the roses are twiggy there, too.
Me and Dad, with Cato getting in the way, and a tree. Mum says to look at the leaves on the ground under the tree. Cos it is visually something or other. I dunno. It is all piccy though, isn't it?
I wanted to sit down and play Truffle Hound at this bench. But Dad said no, he wanted a cup of tea, so we had to stop at the cafe bench. But they didn't have sausages there. And there were two HUGE dogs there, so I stayed on the bench where they couldn't see me.
someone else was piccing too. They were piccing the swans. I wanted to go look, but Mum said No, Don't Disturb Them.
Mum always says No to doing interesting fun stuff, doesn't she?
But it was still a good walk. And when me came home, Mum did stuff to my dog bed, and got my pink name done and I had a sleep.
Mum: This is a display from near the cafe in the park. I have never taken much notice of it before, but the little sign says the tree was planted in 1883 and felled in 2006. This sliced cross section is showing all the tree rings.
Then, when I went in to get Dad his coffee, I saw this poster. Can you zoom in and read it? It gives a history of events while the tree was still alive.
Your sky pic, Crystal
