Tara:

We went to the sausage place and had Cato's gluten free sausages.  Yum!  and then we went on the beach!!!  Mum says we have to make the most of the beach now, cos when the Easter Bunny appears, we have to leave the beach all the Hot Time, and only get it back in the Cold Time.

This is first sniff.  of course.

Those people are farfarfar out.  Mum won't let us go that far out.  But it isn't very sniffy out there.

Look!  They mended my mountain ramp.  And my climby things have sunk in the sand.  And the yellow sticks are all stuck together again.  I liked it when there woz something to climb!

See that lady under the pier?  She has Bertie with her.  Bertie woz very bouncy.  I like bouncing, but Bertie was a bit... er... bouncier

This is him all tall and sniffy and a bit scary.

I love looking at your beach pictures. I so miss the beach... the closest I got to a beach today was playing in the sand pit with a child that I do 1-2-1 support with.

You have lots and lots of sand to run around on when the tide is out, it looks like it goes on for miles.

I love the look of the clouds on the 2nd picture!

So sad you don't have much more time left on your beach walks before the humans return...always so lovely and a highlight to see all the beautiful sights

Bertie is indeed all tall and sniffy......but he's black and white and at least part Spaniel - right.  He smells the "spaniel" in you.  Sorry you're going to be persona non grata after the Easter Bunny visits......but I guess I understand why.....but we don't have to like it!  You are VERY lucky to have a Mom and Dad who take you exciting, interesting, educational, social places all year long.

We are chomping at the bit to get back to the coast of Oregon.....where they don't have "seasons" for dogs.  Well sort of.....this time of year the Snowy Plovers are nesting on the beach and WE ARE NOT TO BOTHER THEM!!!  So we have to be on leash for awhile.  After that  we can run around, chasing birds, rolling on dead fish and eating nasty stuff before Mom and Dad catch us.  Of course......all summer long we have to be careful and respectful of Seals and Seal pups we spy hauled out onto the sand.  They did that wayyyyyy before we got there and we respect their rights.  Even though our Mom gets all broody when she sees a baby seal waiting on the sand for Mama.

Our summer place is on sort of a peninsula.......the seals (for the most part) haul out on the tip of the peninsula.  Granted if Mom can walk that far we might see them.....but she's old and is always complaining her feet hurt.  But once in a while when we walk our local neighborhood beach we find an adult seal or a baby resting on the sand.  We are supposed to call the local "marine protectors" and they will come and put up a temporary fence around the adult or baby to tell all of us beach walkers "LEAVE ME ALONE - THIS WAS MY BEACH BEFORE IT WAS YOURS AND I AM JUST RESTING OR WAITING FOR MY MAMA!!!!!"

I have to admit.....once in the beginning - when I saw my first baby seal.....I approached and touched it.  I thought it was dead. Boy did the locals tell me DON'T DO THAT!!!!!  The pup is waiting for Mama to come back and if you touch it.....she might reject her baby!  You don't have to tell me twice!

Oooh Love your beach walk, just what I needed on a cold day like today, warmed me right up! Bertie is very pretty and looks kinda shy, but nice!!  Love hearing and seeing the article about the seals, sure wish you could go see them, but talk about bouncy!! ;)
