New washing machine

Cato:

We did important DIY stuff today, with both Mum and Dad.

It was VERY exciting.

The washy machine has been making very loud washy machine noises for a while.  And Mum finally had The Discussion with Dad about it.  Cos the engineer inside the phone said it was too expensive to be worth mending.

So new washy machine is coming tomorrow.  And today we all got ready!  Me and Mum and Tara did a specially careful poo pickup in the garden cos washymachines come in through the back.  Did you know that Tara has started hiding her poos under big green stuff?  Mum knows where to look now. :)

And I helped Dad with the snake pipe things behind the washy machine.  That was FUN!

And Tara kept getting in the way, so she and Mum went and did girl stuff in the front room, while Dad and I did manly stuff with the pipes.

So now we are all ready for our nice Mr Delivery Men tomorrow.  I want to meet them, this time.  Mum sometimes puts us in the front room, but I reallyreallyreally want to meet them this time, and show them my toys, and help with the snakes again.

What a joy to read this at 6.22am. It's a lovely start to my morning. You guys make me smile every time.. ?

I love the way you describe the 'engineer in the phone and the snakes'

I'm sure Mum and Dad wil let you say hello once the delivery men have carrried the washing machine in. As it's really heavy and they need to concentrate...

Hows the hot tub?

Cato:

It arrived!  There were 2 MrDeliveryMen, and they liked me!  They even said hello to Tara.

We showed them the kitchen and the old washymachine and the snakes, and then Mum said we had to go into the front room while they brung the new washymachine in and the old one out. :(  I didn't like being shut away, and I barked, in case Mum didn't realise that I didn't like it.

But the men were really nice.  The big one made a proper fuss of me, and said he hadn't ever met a bad dog yet.  So I tried to hump his leg.

The new machine is very swishy and has a big black window.

Tara says I have to tell you she put on a yellow bow today specially.  Something about Spring daffydilly colours and dressing for visitors.  I think it is better to say it with a hump, don't you?

Love Lacey ❤

Mum:

They look AWESOME in yellow, don't they?  And Tara was rocking some bright orange a few days ago too.  I think both she and Lacey look incredible in the BRIGHT colours.

Tara:  Ooooh Lacey, I like your 2 bows.  Mum hasn't given me 2 bows for ages.  I am going to ask her to do it tomorrow.

Cato:  yes AuntieAngel the snakes have gone.  MrDeliveryMan took them away with him.  I think that is a good thing.  We shouldn't have snakes in the kitchen, should we?

Tara:

I've got lots of yellow bows.  Here is me on the beach in one.  Mum said it looked fantabulous with my blueberry lead.  All Easter Eggy.

Mum says she will do the blog for our beach walk later.  or tomorrow.  or something.  whenever. but you get to see me and my bow first!

I like this pic cos I had just beaten Cato up, and Mum was making 'No Tara!' noises.  But I didn't take any notice, cos I am a Ninja in a Yellow Bow!

haha!

Lacey is a bit cleaner than me though.  Can we see a pic of Lacey after she has been on the beach?  Can we see if she can get as dirty as me?  We could have a dirtifying competition!!!  I've got sand in my beard and on my moustache, and my foots are all sandy grey.  It is camo-camoo-faggy stuff, cos Ninjas have to be invisible in the dark.

Oh Tara, you look so lovely in your yellow bow. Thank you for sharing your picture here first. Cos were twins ... can't wait to see you in your pig tails..

I've asked Mum and she said she'll take loads of pictures of me.... oh I mean us!! I'm planning on getting sand everywhere.. I might even pick shells up cos I know Mum like to collect them. She loves things like that.

I love your camo-camoo-faggy stuff, cos Ninjas are fab and so are you...

Cant wait for our the dirtifying competition... sounds like fun.

Mum said Im a little madam so I would fit in well with the St Trinians... I have no idea what she means!

I hope you like your new washer...........I hate mine!  It was a year old in March and has had 4 service repairs.  We are forced to have the low water ones here.  They barely get the clothes soggy - not a nice tub of war/hot/cold soapy water.  The lid locks as soon as it fills with water so if you find a dropped sock or something, you can't add it to the load.  In our case it's the danged control panel that goes out - it's been replaced once.

I SO wish I'd had my old one repaired (the pump went out) instead of buying a new one.  Did I say I hate it?!?

Every time I get ready to do the laundry - I get uptight :pullhair:

WHAT are St. Trinians?

Yes, I get you with the washer hatred.  I felt like that about the last one.  9 times out of 10 I would come back to it to discover that it hadn't switched on.  You had to hit the Start button twice, and leave a perfect number of seconds between each hit, or the thing just sat there.  Since I have the attention span of a gnat, I used to bop the button twice and walk off.  And the thing just watched me go with a smirk on its face.

This one is already better than that!  Done two loads and it started both.  Brill.

St Trinians is a school for... er... somewhat undisciplined young ladies.  There are a series of films starting way back in the Ealing Comedies post WWII era.  Black and white.  The schoolgirls always win the day usually by unprincipled use of low cunning and utter disrespect for authority (in the shape of a cross dressing Head Mistress).

Here is a You Tube clip that will explain it far better than I can... :)

1st film 1954

Modern version (trailer of the film):
