God! How I hate writing this entry....

It's been a week as of last night that you have gone missing and I can't believe you disappeared into mid air! You have always been my problem child but you were always loved, and you knew it. 15 yrs 4 months 11 days, and all but the 1st 8 weeks of your life... you were my Lil Em. Now you've left me guessing if you're someone else's Emma or if you have left us to join your sister, Baby, at the bridge. We've been through a lot together and I thank you for being there for me, this is not how it was supposed to end. I still have hope that I will find you, whether the outcome will be good or bad as I will not give up on you...just as I have never given up on you.

Oh my goodness Susan, I have been so worried about Emma and hoped and prayed you would find her and take her back to her pack.

I can't bear to think something bad happened to her and want to think she is someones home getting love and attention like she always has with you....I prayed for all of you and so sorry what you all have been though.

Emma sweetheart where are you love? Go home please to mommie

(((Hugs)

I can see why you are extra worried about your senior baby.........hopeful a horrible person who loves dogs has taken her in and not tried to find her Mama.

If you go out looking for her in your area, talk to the kids - they love dogs and often know more about things like a new one in the neighborhood than the adults do.

Tues night when she went missing... We called the Police and at 1st Dean went driving but since it was already dark it was too hard to drive and look. Emma has a knack for going in a straight line, so we did. We walked all over for 2 hrs. We also left lights on in front and back and left one of her beds in the garage with the door cracked opened and one in the back yard...in case she wondered back. We stood awake for a few more hrs calling out with flashlights looking on our street and yards. The next morning I called animal control, and the 2 animal shelters in the area filling out reports. I also posted on face book asking for help in finding her. Dean got home from work about 10am and took to riding his bike all over the area and asking anyone around he saw if they'd seen her. On Thurs, I went back to work and made flyers and proceeded that evening to go door by door, me on 1 side of the street and Dean the other, asking neighbors to also check their yards and call us good or bad if they had any news. We did this for about 2 hrs. We also put up fliers on poles and asked the businesses on the 4 corners from us to put up a flyer. Friday after work, I got out a bit earlier and walked another area as well as searched a patch of woods near by. I came home, taking a 20 min or so break and went back out. This time Rosy came with us. She drove us to where we left off and me and Dean continued going door to door. We have spoken to over 200 people and I have posted/handed out over 250 flyers. On Saturday, Dean went and scoured another small patch of woods. Emma is posted on Craigslist, all over FB and the neighborhood community on line buliten board (Next Door) and I have had neighbors who never even met me calling to say they'll search any nearby wooded areas and keep eyes open while out on walks....
I'm at a loss...as I don't have a clue of what else I can do to find her.
Poor Dean is blaming himself as he had her out with the other kids for after dinner potty time. She is always a straggler and he left her out there for a short bit and she took off.... it was a total accident and he is beating himself up...

You probably already done it but what about taking the other kids to the wooded area on lead, if they are barking and making noise she just might recognise the familiar sound and smell and come out of her hiding if she's lost her way confused.

Have you notified all the vets in the area, if she is chipped she will turn up there someday if someone pup-napped her

Poor Dean, you aren't the blame youirself sweety, she probably saw a squirrel or rabbit and ran after it but got lost once she went to far

Me too...  This morning I woke thinking I heard her bark. She always let one loud bark out right before she'd bring up bile every so often. I just really thought I heard her...it's the only time she ever really made any sound...

The more people who hear what happened, the more think that she was picked up by someone. She is the type to stay on flatter ground so I'm thinking someone might have seen her walking along the road and picked her up, thinking that maybe she was homeless? IDK... hopeful I guess...

It's 2 weeks today...
