Sophie's Haven 17,464
I know it is early but found this today when I was going thru Primitive holiday ideas. I have a small crock pot that I am going to get out and use instead of placing a pot on the stove. STOVE TOP POTPOURRI.................. 1/2 CUP FRESH CRANBERRIES 1 ORANGE SLICED 4 CINNAMON STICKS, BROKEN IN HALF 1 TABLESPOON CLOVES 1/8 TEASPOON NUTMEG 2-3 CUPS WATER COMBINE ingredients in small pot and simmer on low heat on stove for as long as desired. Add more water to mixture as water gets low. I have holiday sprays but I have to be very careful to be sure the paws are not in the room until the oil from the scent has settled......it gets them sneezing so I am thinking this will work much better.

Just a thought you might bring it to a gentle boil on the stove first and then add it to your crock pot........now my tiny cock pot is for cooking food so hopefully I should have no trouble. i love Holiday scents, right now,My house smells of Pumpkin spice.Gotta try this recipe! My house smells like pumpkin spice also.......I change from apple cider to pumpkin spice.......love the smell.

Both of mine are real crock pots meant for food, too. Now my big one -- it cooks too hot even on low!
