For the hair on a Shih Tzus face to grow back? I know it probably depends on the dog, but the groomer shaved around my dogs eyes in December & I want to grow it back out.

Minimum six months, depending on how fast the dog's hair grows.

Thank you! Right now the hair under their eyes are blocking them. I try to keep it combed down but it just goes right back to the way it was!

I have the same problem with my new Maltese puppy. I want all the hair on her face to grow out if possible. She is teething and all her hair is more or less growing and sticking in her eyes. You just have to be patient and wash their face at least every night or more often if needed. I am then putting some boric acid/cornstarch (50/50 mix) on with a makeup brush where it is wet and/or stained (after I dry her face following the wash job) in an effort to keep it looking half decent while we go through this stage. I nursed my two Tzu through this stage successfully and made sure I kept the topknot hair up. Anabelle finally left her topknot in all day yesterday and today. She is now sitting fairly still while I put it up. Benji and Connor always sat nice and still after they figured out that it felt better with the hair out of their eyes! Some people use vaseline to stick the hair down but I don't like the face to be all greasy looking.
